A special shout out to Network TwentyOne affiliated Amway Crowns Igor and Valeriya Kharatin for their dedication to supporting Ukrainian children’s sports development. Through their charity “Kharatin Family Fund” and in coordination with the Ukranian Children’s Football (soccer for you Americans) Club, Igor and Valeriya we able to organize and obtain Amway/Nutrilite sponsorship for the 5th Annual International Children Football tournament held in Mukachevo, Ukraine.
In the five years the tournament has run, several thousand children from throughout Eastern Europe have participated. In 2011 over 60 teams participated, 1200 young football players, from the ages of 9 to 14 year old.

“In the afternoon of October the 4th, 2010, more than 300 families’ lives were shattered in just a few minutes as toxic sludge from a local factory flooded across 4 villages, killing 9 people, injuring many more and destroying the property and homes of over 300 families. The Fernando Foundation netted more than $3200 for power soccer in the Baker of the Day fundraiser at Great Harvest Bread Co. near the headquarters of Network TwentyOne in Duluth GA. Several Network TwentyOne staff and their family as well as IBOs in the area came to support the event by working behind the counters for the day and by buying some of the delicious bread. Inevitability as we head into a new year we are drawn to reflect on the year just passed. Often this reflection takes the form of soul searching for areas of failure or short comings which gives birth to a series of resolutions for the new year.
